The Vienna Grade School Rams baseball defeated Nashville in a 8-0 no-hitter for the Class M Illinois State Championship Tuesday, October 13.

 The Vienna First Baptist Church will be hosting "Trunk or Treat" Saturday evening, October 31 from 5-7 p.m.
Church members will be on hand with their vehicles decorated and will be distributing candy. Area youngsters are invited to come by to trick or treat from vehicle to vehicle. Also, there will be games, hot dogs, and other treats for the children.
All area children are invited.

The Largest Fall Festival Ever

The 6th Annual Johnson County October Fall Festival turned out to be the most successful one ever. The Johnson County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Vienna sponsored the festival.

The biggest and most talked about event of the weekend had to be the parade on Saturday morning which hosted approximately 151 entries. (The parade coordinators lost count with so many last minute entrants and horses). This parade now holds the title of the largest parade in Johnson County, breaking the old record in 2004 of 103 entries according to The Vienna Times then.
