Inaugural Vienna-Goreville High School Coop Football Game Print

The Vienna Eagles, in double over time, WIN inaugural varsity football game 30-28 against Hamilton County!

It was a great day Saturday for Vienna-Goreville football fans in many ways. It was a beautiful day weather-wise. It was the first football game in 78 years and the Eagles were victorious.

The win came hard-fought in a double overtime with a final score of 30-28.

It would almost be easier to list those locally who were not in attendance than those at the game. A crowd of up to 2,000 was expected and that mark may have been attained.

Pick up a copy of The Vienna Times or Goreville Gazette for more coverage!
